About Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique. You stay fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment couch while I place my hands lightly on, or just above, the body.

Most people find it deeply calming. Clients often come to Reiki to unwind from stress, to support better sleep, or simply to give themselves an hour of quiet.

Reiki is a complementary therapy. It is not a substitute for medical care, so please keep seeing your doctor for any health concerns.

Questions

Do I need to undress?

No. You stay fully clothed. Just wear something comfortable.

What will I feel?

Everyone is different. Some people feel warmth or tingling, some drift off to sleep, others simply feel calm.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no set number. Many people enjoy one session as a treat; others come regularly to unwind.

Is Reiki safe alongside other treatment?

Reiki is gentle and non-invasive and can sit alongside medical care. It does not replace it, so always follow your doctor's advice.
